  1.  Where my extended soul is fixed; 
  2.  But Fate does iron wedges drive, 
  3.  And always crowds itself betwixt. 
  4.   
  5.  For Fate with jealous eye does see 
  6.  Two perfect loves, nor lets them close; 
  7.  Their union would her ruin be, 
  8.  And her tyrannic power depose. 
  9.   
  10.  And therefore her decrees of steel 
  11.  Us as the distant poles have placed 
  12.  (Though LoveΓÇÖs whole world on us doth wheel), 
  13.  Not by themselves to be embraced, 
  14.   
  15.  Unless the giddy heavens fall,
